Wait For Exit: Halt until the command line returns. ShowProcessWindow Show Process Window: Redirects the output of console apps to StaxRips process window. Disables Shell Execute. UseShellExecute Use Shell Execute: Executes the command line using the shell. Available when the Show Process Window option is disabled. Part 3: Merge MKV Files with FFmpeg. The third tool that I want to introduce for you to merge MKV files is FFmpeg. If you are not familiar with FFmpeg, it’s a command-line tool that can not only convert audio or video formats, but also perform many other operations to media files like capturing and encoding video and audio in real-time, merging multiple video files and such.

I have many extracted extracts and would like to create a script to join auto.
The problem is that not all files exist for example forced caption and chapters.

Add the directory where you installed ffmpeg/mkvmerge to your system's PATH environment variable, ensuring that you can use the ffmpeg/mkvmerge command from any terminal/command prompt. This is the best solution for advanced users. Place the tool in a location already in your system's PATH variable (e.g. I've been using mkvmerge to merge a video file and subtitles, I'm using the following command. Mkvmerge -o output.mkv video.mp4 subtitles.srt Which is working fine but as you can probably guess this is really slow operation. I've to open terminal in every one of those directories where movies are stored. The first line of the batch creates the target directory. It only does it so Mkvmerge does not abort when the dir is not present. Thus, it must be the same dir. The idea is to use ALL settings you need on a demo file in MKVToolnix: set subtitle to default yes if you want to play it back automatically, label the foreign audio to French or whatever.
